Richard Larmour
Research Officer at the Energy Research Centre (ERC) based at UCT
Larmour has a Master of Science in engineering (energy studies) from UCT. He has expertise in the areas of measurement and verification, energy efficiency, pump systems optimisation, and motor-driven systems optimisation, and has worked at the UCT Energy Research Centre since 2010. Larmour has published several articles in Energy Management News and co-authored a chapter in Measurement and Verification Practices.
Mascha Moorlach
Senior Research Officer in the Advanced Machines & Energy Systems group (AMES) at UCT
Mascha Moorlach obtained a Master of Science in architecture, systems, and planning from the University of Technology in Eindhoven. After graduating in 1996, she worked as a consultant engineer with Sweegers en De Bruijn in the Netherlands. She relocated to South Africa and worked as an architectural draughtsperson before joining the UCT Energy Research Centre as an energy-efficiency engineer in 2006. She currently works with the Advanced Machines & Energy Systems group within the Electrical Engineering department at UCT. Mascha is currently involved in the Transforming Energy Access and the Energy 4 Wellbeing projects amongst others.
